Hi all, The Yellow-rumped Thornbills that traditionally nest in a Melaleuca in my yard have completed their nest and I believe there may now be eggs, judging by the distraction display (hanging upside down, swinging and trilling loudly) one of them put on when the resident Magpie flew in to a nearby tree yesterday evening. This is the earliest breeding record I have for this particular group of Thornbills. The Wood Ducks around my place of work are also nesting at the moment.
