A lovely surprise in my front yard this morning (urban Ipswich, Qld) -- an Eastern spinebill, first I've ever seen in this locale. Also, the yellow-faced honeyeaters are back in numbers -- noticed them first about 2 weeks ago -- and striated pardalotes of one of the striated-capped races (our year-round resident race is melanocephalus).
