As for Barking Owls, in my small experience of them in Victoria, they're dynamite on roosting birds up to & including Australian Magpies. Theoretically there's a smorgasbord of magpies and the like out there for Barking Owls to snaffle, but whether there's enough time for them to learn new tricks is the issue I guess.
