Dear all I also have seen Pied Oystercathers feeding on grassy areas in Tasmania. However, a greater surprise to me was seeing Bar-tailed Godwits probing into compost on a garden bed on Cairns Esplanade. They were feeding here despite the tide being only partially full and some mud-flat was exposed. Again on a recent visit, I saw them feeding on flooded lawn. Regards, Andrew Geering. |
