Subject: Time: 10:52 AM Arctic Norway Date: 18/6/98 Congratulations to Wim Vader on his inspiring report of an ornithological and botanical spring in northern Norway this week. It had me digging out the old maps from my trip there, now twenty years ago, when I camped at Djupvik and went tramping round the fjords and tarns. I didn't attain to his long lists, but that was probably a matter of inexperience, and I certainly saw a lot. Wim, I'll be back there one day (a few years yet!) and I hope you will still be around to give me some tips. In the meantime keep up your reports from the antipodes, please, which I always read with the greatest pleasure, as I am sure others do too.
