titled:
Australia's Ocean Policy: Report of the Ministerial Advisory Group on
Oceans Policy, March 1998

A quick look through my copy of the report doesn't mention seabirds as
such, however, the following is extracted from the issues paper:
s5.3.2 Marine Biological Diversity and Ecosystem Processes
- identify vulnerable species, habitats and biological communities, and
their occurrence, distribution and conservation requirements.
This would logically include at least "vulnerable" seabirds such as several
albatross species as well as a number of marine mammals (whales). Whether
this will include all relevant species listed under the Endangered Species
Protection Act 1992 I do not know.
Hopefully someone from Environment Australia will be able to help. I
encourage all "seabird people" to obtain a copy of the report or check it
out at the website. This may be your opportunity to have input into
policies related to seabird conservation.
