Hello, Australian birdwatchers!

I am making plans for my first trip to Australia from July 7-16, and would
like to make contact with some Australian birders for information and possible
birding trips together in the area around Cairns.   What are the best places
to go and what are the specialty birds to look for?  Any tips and information
will be appreciated.
