Some interesting sightings from a half-day trip to Werribee (Victoria) today: Glossy Ibis (12) Black-tailed Native-hen (1) Cape Barren Goose (1) Buff-banded Rail (2) Australian Crake (1) Double-banded Plover (many, 1 leucistic - apparently the same bird has been seen annually for 5 or 6 years, according to Bob Swindley) Horsfield's Bronze-cuckoo (3) Little Grassbird (2 - excellent close views out in the open) Banded Lapwing (8+) - in the "usual" paddocks Whistling Kite (12+) Etc, etc. Always a rewarding place to visit.
