We have finally received a full set of colours from a Regent Honeyeater at
Castlereigh Nature Reserve near Richmond. This bird was banded as a
nestling in the Capertee Valley on 1 November 1995. 24 days after fledging
it was seen at another site in the valley 19 km from the nest. At this
stage this juvenile, and its sibling, were still partially dependant, being
fed by its colour-banded parents. There have been no sightings of this
bird since. This "finding location" is 83 km from the point of banding.

There were reports of a second banded bird at Castlereigh NR. Does anyone
have information about this bird.
