Hi Neville,
The workshop was a huge success and it generated quite a lot of discussion.
A major article about the Atlas Project, including information about the
workshop, will appear in the June issue of Wingspan, which will be out in
about 4 weeks time.
A summary of the workshop recommendations was also mailed out to workshop
participants earlier this week.
General silence about the workshop on Birding-Aus is just a reflection of
the tight deadline facing BA staff in setting up the project in readiness
for the 1 August ... longer than normal working days and a fast working
pace. Nevertheless, we are following the ongoing discussions about the
project on Birding-Aus (and in other circles) with interest and taking
suggestions and opinions into account.
We will try to accommodate people's curiosity about the project as much as
possible over the next few weeks. However, I plea for continued tolerance of
low feedback while BA's resources are stretched to the limit during the
setting up phase.
Best wishes,
Stephen
