Australia Post in conjunction with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) are releasing a set of four 45c stamps featuring endangered birds. The four birds are: Orange-bellied Parrot, Helmeted Honeyeater, Gouldian Finch and the south-eastern subspecies of the Red-tailed Black-Cockatoo. In addition to the usual stamp sheetlets, "maximum cards" and first-day covers, there is also a book "The Story of Australian Birds" by Graham Pizzey. All products should be available from Australia Post shops on 25 June 1998. -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Paul Taylor Veni, vidi, tici - I came, I saw, I ticked. |
