footnote to Malaysian trip report

I suppose I should have balanced the remarks on the atmosphere of Kuala
Lumpur at the beginning of my report with a sentence such as:

'Coming back to Canberra at the beginning of winter was a real shock, like
walking into a fridge, and the smell of corruption was quite noticeable the
moment the plane door opened....'
