Dear Birders, Last week I twice observed a flock of 10 Mallee Ringneck parrots at Stoneleigh HS , 8km north of Lucindale, SA. This must be nearing the southernmost extension of their range in SA. I recorded them in the same place 2 years ago. (This could indicate that this flock is resident - they were in a scrub rarely visited by humans - on private land with no public access). Are Mallee Ringnecks found south of a line from Robe - Naracoorte - Horsham ?? I have recorded them at Little Desert NP, Wyperfeld NP and many times at Hattah-Kulkyne NP. Happy Birding, Trevor Hampel Murray Bridge South Australia |
