Remember that this is the 'silly season' for discussions. My observations over two years are that there is a large volume of birding news when you'd expect it, viz in the spring and summer; this tails off into chat and banter in the autumn, and then in the winter there is very little mail at all, sometimes only a message a day, enlivened only by trip reports from up north and OS. ############################################# John Leonard (Dr), PO Box 243, Woden, ACT 2606 'So economic progress was achieved, at the cost of social misery.'
