Do they or don't they exist? 1. Letter-winged Kite -- yes they do 2. Grey Falcon -- yes they do 3. Lewin's Rail -- probably extinct these days 4. Painted Snipe -- no they don't 5,6,7 All Phalaropes -- 'all'? There's only one species! 8. Fig-Parrot -- no they don't 9. Ground Cuckoo-Shrike -- yes they do 10. Atherton Scrubwren -- who knows?? I would estimate that the list of non-existent birds is about one-third of the average field-guide's contents! Give or take a few. Correct me if I'm wrong...
