Lorne has actually stirred up memories of Dunnocks, Alpine Accentors, Wallcreepers, Green Woodpeckers, Jays, etc. Trying to divert the conversation back to birding, I wonder how many other Poms out there have got Alpine Accentor and Wallcreeper on their British list? And, brilliant though the Australian avifauna is, which family is missed most? Woodpeckers? Trevor. |
