Andrew Taylor is right in saying that the sound
quality of the calls on Simpson and Day (version 3) is bad it is! in fact it's
atrocious.I paid the full price of $99.00 for it and having been ripped off once
I would not think about buying later versions.
If you are looking for good sound quality on
commercially available material you can't go past the originals on the tapes
from the BOC ---"A field guide to Australian Birdsong".
A full set of 11 tapes is $110 and you get more
than one recording (call/song) of each species or you can just choose the
tape with the species that you are interested in (for $ 11.00
each).
