G'day all

If anyone is interested I have a dBASE file of Sibley & Monroe's list of
world bird species. It has 9,700 species from Ostrich to Bobolink and
includes such gems as Black-bellied Seedcracker, Brown-breasted
Bamboo-Tyrant and the Ochre-flanked Tapaculo. (No doubt many of you have
seen these).

The file has fields for family and species number and scientific and
common names. It is 931362 bytes unzipped and 168,159 bytes zipped. You
can modify it with extra fields at will.

I would be happy to email the zipfile to anyone who wants it but it might
be a better idea if it was placed on someone's web site. Any offers?

Cheers

Steve
