birds on sporting events: could someone tell me what that raptor that they showed flying over Nagano during the winter olympics was? PS, just had a wonderful weekend in Lamington NP. trip report soon but the highlights were the Alberts Lyrebird, Paradise Riflebird, Logrunner, White-headed Pigeon, Topknot Pigeon,Emerald Dove, the ReEgent Bowerbird of course, Comb-crested Jacana, and lifers for me Pheasant Coucal and Blue-faced Honeyeater.KaAlso other points of interest, a Long-nosed Potoroo, my first ever Ringtail possums, a Land Mullet lizard, and the Lamington Blue Crayfish.
