Dear Birders everywhere, An interesting thought occured to me recently when watching a sporting event on television (Yes - I know - being out there birding is probably a lot more interesting). If I'm watching a LIVE telecast of a sporting event (or any newscast) from anywhere in the world - and a bird is shown on the screen or flies across the line of view of the camera - and I can identify the bird - and I've never seen a live member of that species before - can I tick it as a "lifer"?????
