On the 12th November 1997 I observed 2 Yellow Rosellas in the eucalypt trees at Swanport Reserve on the banks of the Murray River, about 4km south of Murray Bridge, South Australia. At the time I did not realise that this was somewhat removed from their normal range. I visited the same reserve on the following two days but did not observe them on an extensive search of the area. This is the first time I have recorded Yellow Rosella in this area. Adelaide Rosellas are present in small numbers in the district. Trevor Hampel |
