Lightening Ridge

Fay and I plan to travel from Brisbane to Lightening Ridge over Easter and
would appreicate any information on good birding spots enroute - and at the
Ridge itself (stuff the opals!!).

And while I'm in the mood, we plan to do the Hunter Valley (last week of
September) and would appreciate any local contacts to enhance both birding
and wine tasting.  Suggestions on good accommodation would be most welcome.
