PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR
AUSTRALIAN BIRD ATLAS PROJECT
Birds Australia is seeking a suitably qualified person to co-ordinate a
community volunteer-based project aimed at monitoring long-term changes in
the distribution and abundance of Australian bird populations. Experience in
large-scale project management with proven effective volunteer liaison
skills, experimental design and analysis of wildlife population data,
proficient report writing and oral communication skills, and a driver's
license are essential. Tertiary qualifications in biology or equivalent
preferable.
The Co-ordinator will be based at Birds Australia's Melbourne Office,
supervise project personnel in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane, and
work closely with a scientific steering committee. The position is for 4
years initially. Salary $39,000 plus 7% super.
