Our "garden" here at our holiday home in Margaret River, WA (33*55'S, 115*5'E) is 8 acres of former dairy pasture (approx. 2/3) and mixed redgum (marri, E. calophylla) and WA Peppermint (Agonis flexuosa) - with a single large karri (E. diversicolor). There is a small dam and stream with a small wetland around it. For your interest, this morning's 1 hour count produced: (E = WA endemic) Western Rosella (E) Red-capped Parrot (E) Australian Ringneck Kookaburra Horsfield's Bronze-cuckoo Grey Fantail Scarlet Robin White-breasted Robin (E) Golden Whistler Western Gerygone Inland Thornbill Yellow-rumped Thornbill White-browed Scrubwren Splendid Fairy-wren Red-winged Fairy-wren (E) Striated Pardalote Silvereye White-naped Honeyeater Western Spinebill (E) New Holland Honeyeater Australian Magpie Australian Raven TOTAL: 22 species Happy New Year Richard Nowotny From: Dr Richard Nowotny Melbourne, Australia Tel.
