Yesterday evening I surveyed the village sewage ponds at the Argyle Diamond mine in the east Kimberley of WA. An unusual sight was a Fairy Martin with absolutely no tail. It didn't seem to affect its ability to fly. There were no unexpected sightings but the best were Brolga, Pallid Cuckoo, Brush Cuckoo, Olive-backed Oriole, Spinifex Pigeon, Black-tailed Treecreeper and Rufous Songlark. Frank |
