With the recent postings on bird databases and mapping
coordinate systems and the New Atlas on the horizon, it might be a good
time to discuss the pros and cons of the proposal to use smaller (2.5
mins) grids for the (hopefully) forthcoming Atlas project. We cant all
afford GPS like Lawrie Conole and without one it's going to be difficult
locating grid boundaries, I have enough trouble finding accurate, but
cheap, maps to locate the ten minute grids used by the NSW Bird
Atlassers. Any comments?
