Sorry for delay, BHP fire put Email out an this is the 3 rd attempt to send. 9 aboard, light to stronger NE winds, sea 19.7 to 21.5 C Slightly over cast, quite pleasant. Did not see any Black Petrels but attendant birds were very hungry. Bird List Silver Gull 40 Kelp Gull 1 Crested tern 20 Little Penguin 2 Short-tailed Shearwater 2000 + constant flow of small flocks heading south Wedge-tailed Shearwater 1000 + Fluttering Shearwater 100 Hutton's Shearwater 2 Sooty Shearwater 2 Flesh-footed Shearwater 50 Pomarine Jaeger 15 Arctic Jaeger 2 Long-tailed Jaeger 3 Black-browed Albatross 2 Wandering Albatross 5 gibsoni, Capt Carl netted one with a non-Wollongong band on the right leg Providence petrel 1 Great-winged Petrel 100 Wilson's Storm Petrel 3 White-faced Storm Petrel 1 Austrasian Gannet 1 Mamals Bottle-nosed dolphins 20 large oceanic ones riding the bow wave Fur Seal Thanks Chris Brandis |
