Hi everyone, I will be going to Canberra in the last weekend of November and will probably get a weekend to look around the Leeton, West Wyalong area. I have already received some excellent information from John Leonard on Leeton Swamp (Fivebough Swamp?), Charcoal Tank near West Wyalong and Jindalee Forest closer to Cootamundra. Any information on other sites of note in this general vicinity or closer to Canberra (I probably won't have time for birdwatching in Caberra only on the way there) would be greatly appreciated especially any recent sightings of Striped, Painted or Black Honeyeaters, Crakes and Rails or interesting waders. Best Wishes John Boyce |
