er g'day

at Werribee Farm 4/10/97 Broadbilled Sandpiper ( courtesy of the legendary
Fred Smith ). On a shallow lagoon beyond the mouth of Little River, across
the bridge, across the beach and around a little to the furthest end of the
lagoon on which the small terns have been roosting recently.

at Stockyard Point ( Jam Jerup ) 8/10/97 Terek Sandpiper - a regular site for
them - 1 was present yesterday at high tide.

at Braeside currently Australasian Bittern. On the main wetland mostly.

Brown Gerygones have been turning up outside their normal range recently -
see Wingspan for example. For the last few years these have been consistently
present, at least in summer, at Mount Worth State Park esp near to the
Trevorrow Mill site. This is well west of the range given in the Victorian
Atlas, Emison et al, 1987.

In exchange for these goodies I'd really appreciate Vic sites for Brolga,
Chestnut-rumped Heathwren, Regent and Painted Honeyeaters. Willing also to
trade a guaranteed Spotted Quail-thrush!
