1. Don't try to do much birding-aus-ing this evening: Snipped from our login message today: On Tues 9/9 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm the VRN link may be down to enable vendor engineers to test the reliability of the Melb - Monash microwave link. This will affect internet/network access external to Deakin University. 2. I really like Steve Clarke's list of species seen riding to work. That gives me extra incentive to get on my bike on those chilly Geelong mornings. The challenge has been set! 3. A few folk - including myself - have found that the tone of messages on birding-aus has generally been friendly and polite. Some replies sent to the list in recent weeks have not maintained this standard. PLEASE - keep yourselves (and our little list) nice. Thanks Russell Woodford List admin person |
