OK, I'll have a nibble ...

So don't drive one. But you will miss out on some fantastic areas of
Australia such as the north Kimberley, Bungle Bungles, Canning Stock Route,
Nullarbor, Eyre Bird Observatory, Birdsville Track, Oodnadatta Track,
Strezelecki Track, Cape York, Iron Range, ...

I trust that you mean that SOME of their OWNERS can SOMETIMES be a
nuisance??? Banning 4WDs will solve nothing.

We all contribute to greenhouse gases. But if we were serious, then people
would start to question many things. My guess is that so called controlled
burns and the arson of bush contribute far more CO2 than the use of
recreational 4WDs.

I think that I will grow some cotton, or peg a mining lease, or maybe find
some forest to fell ... :-)

Congratulations, but please don't impose your values on me.

I always wondered why I don't want to live in Denmark...

I knew there was a reason that I liked democracy!!!!!!

I did and I bought one!!! :-) I can recommend the Suzuki Vitara.

Back to the original issue. I agree that the access of 4WDs on beaches
should be regulated. But a total ban everywhere is impractical. Areas
such as Roebuck Bay near Broome certainly need more protection at high tide
for the wader roosts.
