A few years back, before soaring transport costs made it too prohibitive, I
used to regularly take 50 to 60 10-year olds to Elanda Point for a week's
campout. In those days (early 90s) I counted at least two pairs nesting in
the immediate vicinity and on a number of occasions spotted the juveniles.
My last visit was a few years back but there were two Bush Stone-curlew
around the office/shower block. I photographed them but the quality of the
print leaves a lot to be desired.

But why, oh why, Niels didn't you put it on BIRDLINE QUEENSLAND???? :-)

Actually I'm sitting here at my keyboard awaiting the arrival of a computer
whizz kid who is going to revamp my system. Folowing that I'll revamp the
QOSI website. It is still there:

www.ecn.net.au/~julianb?QOSI.HTM

Needs working on but you're welcome to browse. In fact, the BIRDLINE online
is, these days, a little in advance of the telephone service.
