All this discussion re "Jizz" is nowhere near as complex as people are making out. The term was coined by US servicemen during WW2 and was derived from the following: General impression ,shape and size. (GISS)- Which has been corrupted in speech and spelling to "JIZZ". It was used to train service personnel in rapid identification of aircraft. It seems appropriate to use it on birds as they have been flying past our eyes much longer than the man-made beasties.
