Dear All Many thanks to all those who replied to my request for information on the Darwin area. Our visit was successful with many of our most hoped for species being seen including Chestnut Rail, around 10 Rainbow Pittas, Banded Fruit Dove, White Throated Grasswren - third attempt up the escarpment, both Rock Pigeons, Spinifex Pigeon, Hooded Parrots - still present around Pine Creek, Gouldian Finches, Purple Crowned Fairywrens etc. etc. If anyone would like any further details please do not hesitate to get in touch. Once again many thanks for all the help. David Cooper |
