Hi Scott, it's Alex Appleman here; there are a few changes up here: first
the Daintree: Chris Dalberg and Denise have sold Red Mill House (the B&B
side of the business) and are moving to Wonga Beach. The good news is
they've sold it to another birder, so you can still stay there B&B AND
Chris has kept the boat so you if you go on his specialised birding cruise
you'll get the
Great Billed Heron etc etc
2nd I think Geoff and Sandra still own Kingfisher Park but now have a
birder managing the place for them. So the buff breasted paradise
kingfisher will be waiting, along with a host of other goodies.
In Cairns Andy Anderson will probably put you on to the golden bowerbird.
In Townsville (know you won't get this far south) but the rufous owls are
raising a chick again.
Have a good trip
