I have had World Birdbase for some years and find it very satisfactory.  It
has many features - which I would be happy to tell you about if you want.
It is advertised on a regular basis in the American Birding Association's
journal "Birding" - I could post you a copy of the ad. if you were interested.
I can't compare it with any other program as I have no other experience (and
changing from one program to another looks to be a frightening proposition -
I have many thousands of entries on my system).
