Greetings, all, I'm not sure that the raptors are eating all that many chickens. Here in Boulder the small chicken factory attracts many Rock Doves and smaller birds to easy feed and the BOPs have easy pickings on these birds. I grew up on a farm where we raised enough poultry/eggs for the family, and, there too, the BOPs were attracted to European Starlings and House Sparrows (get 'em all!) and owls came in for the mice. Yes, there may be chickens and waste consumed, by based on my personal observations, it is the other, smaller birds that get picked off. Anyone else?
