Greetings, On Sunday I went for a quick walk in the Dandenong Ranges National Park in Victoria. For non-Victorians this park is about 35km east of the Melbourne CBD. I was walking on a track at the edge of the region burned during this summers bushfires. There was only one highlight and that was a pair of powerful owls perched above the Lyrebird track just downhill from the junction with the Link track. I got so excited that it attracted their attention and I just know they were looking down at me and thinking what is wrong with that idiot. There were lots of droppings (but no obvious pellets) on the track below their perch. I haven't had a look at Thomas and Thomas so I don't know if this is where they say to find the powerful owls.
