Robert Davis was inquiring about habitat fragmentation and how it effects
fauna
distribution. A useful, recent publication is the following. It is also
available on
the web @ http://www.erin.gov.au:80/portfolio/esd/biod/what_is.html

The paper is titled:

Native vegetation clearance, habitat loss and biodiversity decline.
Biodiversity
Series, Paper No. 6. Dept. Envt. Sports and Territories, 1995.

The Environmental Resources Information Network (ERIN) is a useful web site
for
much environmental information in Australia.
        Cheers, Martin
