Attention: David Harrison, National Secretary AAPA Dear Mr Harrison, I wish to point out an error in your media release. You state: "The RED-VENTED BULBUL and the HILL MYNA are in such large numbers in the wild that they, along with many others, are listed as supplementary birds in the RAOU publication - Taxonomy and Species of Birds of Australia and its Territories." The Supplementary List in this RAOU publication "incorporates records of vagrant species not yet validated, records of ship-assisted species, introduced species that were established but have now been extirpated, and records in the literature which are not accepted." Sincerely, Hugo Phillipps, RAOU Conservation & Liaison, Australian Bird Research Centre, 415 Riversdale Road, Hawthorn East, VIC 3123, Australia. Tel: +61 3 9882 2622. Fax: +61 3 9882 2677.
