Richard Jordan reports a strange gull in Cairns (adjacent to the Pier complex) on Wednesday morning, 3rd July, around 8am. The bird has the general appearance of an immature Silver Gull but with very dark legs (query red ?) and a bright yellow bill. About the size of a Silver Gull but maybe a little plumper. Richard is touring in Queensland at the moment and would welcome a call on 018 421 953 if anyone has any further news. Cheers, Barb Bradbury.
