A note for all pelagic enthusiasts

Demand is such at the moment to warrant at least one boat trip a month
from the Wollongong / Sydney area. After some discussion it was agreed
that the best thing to do was to alternate between the two, Wollongong
one month and Sydney the next.
The proposal was put to owner operators of each boat and to our
surprise our suggestion was rejected with both insisting that their
trips go ahead with or without the numbers. Carl the owner of the
Wollongong boat has said that he will run the bird-watching trips with
game fishermen if necessary but no matter what he will continue to run
the birding trips every 4th Sunday of the month. Hal the owner of the
Sydney boat took a similar approach and said that he would run the boat
even if there were only one or two birders on board and further more he
reduced the price from $65pp to $60pp. Isn't it great to live in such a
competitive world?
(The Victorians's have a long way to go to match this!)
It has therefore regrettably been necessary to change the dates of the
Sydney Boat yet again. Here are the final dates for the rest of this
year 1996
Wollongong Sunday March 24th
Sydney Sunday April 14th
Wollongong Sunday April 28th (The only Sunday trip from Sydney)
Wollongong Sunday May 26th
Sydney Saturday June 8th
Wollongong Sunday June 23rd
Wollongong Sunday July 28th
Sydney Saturday August 10th
Wollongong Sunday August 25th
Wollongong Sunday September 22nd
Sydney Saturday October 12th
Wollongong Sunday October 27th
Wollongong Sunday November 24th
Sydney Saturday December 14th
