Seasonal Felicitations!! One of my favorite birding experiences ever happened to be in 1995: Anchored on the lee side of Raine Is. aboard the El Torrito in the late afternoon war-whooping between beers and nibbles and watching Red-footed Boobies (almost at arms length!) and Herald Petrels with the binoculars in reverse!!! The commuter traffic was breathtaking and was dominated by literally tens of thousands of returning Noddies. Perhaps Phil Hansbro will relate my other highlight for '95 (hint: it involves seabirds).
