The sighting I was most excited over for the year would have to be my first Rufous Owl sighting (Mt Elliott NP). Especially as it was entirely unexpected. A group of loud teenage boys had just tramped down the track, I was waiting for silence to resume, when the owl flew into a tree just near me, about 15m away. I admit, I got a rush of adrenalin, and a grin that lasted about half an hour. It was great! Rafael ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// |
