So the one bird recaptured had lost 8g.
Presumably it went and lost another 8g after the second capture.
Thank God, for its sake, that it wasn't about to migrate to Japan when
1g could make the differece between making landfall or not.
My point is that this yet again proves the damage done to birds during
banding.
