Well, yes.
Some years ago Edgar Hamonet, a 'veteran' member of the Hunter Bird
Observers Club, researched and self produced just that for all Australian
birds. Ed is our specialist on Australian bird names and his ability to
unravel the mysteries of nomenclature is truly amazing. He is at the moment
doing a revision to bring the information into line with Christidis &
Boles. This publication is usually in the HBOC library for its members'
