No, it definitely is not getting an address. That was an explanation of why ping would not work. The primary problem is with the wireless stuff. Once the wifi adapter associates _then_ you can set up networking (dynamic or static).

After,
#iwconfig ra0 essid "xxx" key "xxx"
Try,
#iwconfig

If it says 'not associated', your first command failed.
Type,
#dmesg
and paste the last 10 lines here.
