the SPI buffer interface looks a little over-kill for my needs. i don't need ints, fifo, i'm write only to a port expander so i think i'll try bit banging the chip.

Hi Kristeen,

It looks like there is an onboard SPI interface, complete with TX/RX buffers.  I've noticed a lot of documentation and example code for TS's products are buried on the FTP site (ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/).  Anyway...

Page 27 of the manual briefly mentions the interface.

Chapter 19 of the EP9301 chipset manual goes into far more detail and explains the registers.

hi,
i need to interface to a simple SPI bus port expander chip (mcp23s08). i was hoping to find some examples on the TS website but i couldn't find any. can anybody point me in the right direction? i don't really want to write bit bang code if there's a SPI interface already provided on the TS-7200.
