I've got a loop which listens for /dev/pts/0 - and when it receives something
it calls up wget and sends the data to a URL, then loops back to listening
again.

Now the loop works perfectly - but only if you call it by logging in and
manually typing testloop & for example. When this same line is put into /shinit
it DOES run the loop (red led goes off an on at different stages of the loop)
but it does appear to be succeeding in successfully calling the wget line
itself.

Does anyone know of any reasons why wget cannot be automated by calling from an
init file?

Any thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers
