I want to add CONFIG_NF_NAT_FTP in my kernel configuration file for the
2.6.21-ts kernel, but when I run 'make menuconfig', I cannot find that option.
If I look at the expected menuconfig screen:
http://kernel.xc.net/html/linux-2.6.21/s390/#IP_NF_FTP
I see that the menu item for CONFIG_NF_NAT_FTP is hidden. Actually, there are
a lot of other IP Netfilter Configuration options that aren't listed as hidden
that also do not show up in the menuconfig menu (e.g. everything from
[N] Connection tracking flow accounting (CONFIG_IP_NF_CT_ACCT)
to
[N] SIP protocol support (EXPERIMENTAL) (CONFIG_IP_NF_SIP)
for instance).
What does it mean that these are hidden? Why would some of these kernel
options be missing? If I search through TS's kernel configuration file, those
configuration options are in there, but set to N. I would just manually edit
the file to turn them on, but I suspect there are dependencies and that
wouldn't work. Can someone help me to understand why the options do not appear
in the menuconfig menu, and how to see them in the menu (if possible)?
Thanks,
Don
